'A Bill You Can understand'

With two classmates from the Carey Business School, we collaborated on a solution to address the complicated medical billing systems in place in the US by participating in the "A Bill You Can Understand" challenge, which was sponsored by AARP in collaboration with the US Department of Health and Human Services (HHS). The goal of the challenge was: “how might we provide a patient-centered solution to make medical billing simpler and easier to understand.” Our deliverables included a written design brief, a brief video describing our solution, a journey map and a prototype medical bill. In the spirit of human-centered design, we solicited feedback through an informal prototyping session among respondents and through interviews and feedback from friends and colleagues.
